Southland Holdings P6 Scheduler in Grapevine, Texas
Southland Holdings is looking for a experienced P6 Scheduler to join our team at our headquarters in Grapevine, TX. The scheduler is often required at the start of a project, regardless of whether it is simple or complex, to forecast the duration of the project and its activities.
Duties:
• Develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible
• Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams
• Assess impacts to critical path and near-critical activities, report to project team
• Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the developing alternate methods for corrective action
• Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basis
• Assure credibility of the information contained in the schedule
• Review schedules with project team members on a regular basis to ensure that accurate and timely data is incorporated in the schedule
• Verify schedule integrity and evaluate logic and float paths
• Evaluate activity sequences for constructability
• Analyze change orders for schedule impacts
• Resource load schedules as required by the project team
• Perform job-site walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activities
• Position will require traveling to jobsites.
Qualifications:
• Construction/related degree with construction scheduling experience
• 2-3 years of experience
• Experience working with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling
• Understanding of construction process
• Ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings
• Basic Knowledge of contract procedures and principles and excellent computer skills and analytical ability
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
• Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex projects
