Description

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Fixed Assets Accountant to join our finance team. The Fixed Assets Accountant will be responsible for accurately recording, tracking, and managing all fixed assets owned by the company. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, as well as providing valuable insights into the company's financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update fixed assets records, including acquisition, disposal, and depreciation entries, in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.

  • Perform regular reconciliations of fixed assets accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accurately capture fixed assets-related transactions and ensure proper documentation.

  • Conduct periodic physical audits of fixed assets to verify their existence, condition, and location.

  • Prepare and analyze fixed assets reports, including depreciation schedules, capital expenditure forecasts, and variance analyses.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support external audits by providing relevant fixed assets information.

  • Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations related to fixed assets accounting and implement necessary updates and adjustments.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience in fixed assets accounting or related field.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and fixed assets accounting principles.

  • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
