Job Title: Senior Controls Engineer
Job Description
This local material handling company is seeking a sr. level controls engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing code from scratch, creating electrical designs, and leading a small team of Controls Engineers. This role involves significant project management responsibilities with a focus on enhancing customer experiences by bringing outsourced controls work in-house. The role allows for flexible working hours and the possibility of working from home when needed.
30% Travel - few days at a time, home on weekends
Hard Skills
PLC programming from scratch (AB, Siemens, Omron, Rockwell, Mitsubishi)
Electrical design in AutoCAD electrical
Soft Skills
Ability to mentor and lead a Controls team
Customer interface skills
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Can have some work from home flexibility as long as it is communicated ahead of time.
Work Environment
The work environment features smaller office spaces with cubicles that provide personal space. The company is updating these facilities following an expansion of their shop last year.
