Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med SurgLocation: Corewell Health, 100 Michigan St. NE, MI 49503Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)Pay Rate: $40 to $45 per hourSchedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekendUniform: Solid Navy ScrubsResponsibilities:Provide comprehensive nursing care on a high-acuity Med Surg floor, specializing in neuroscience patients.Care for patients with traumatic brain injuries, strokes, post-operative neuro surgeries, and fall risks.Manage patients with underlying conditions such as dementia, behavioral health, and mental health issues.Care for spine surgery patients and those recovering from craniotomies, craniectomies, and aneurysm interventions.Treat general neurology patients with acute stroke, seizures, chronic headaches, and disorders like Guillain-Barr Syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and myasthenia gravis.Provide quality care for general medicine patients, including those with pneumonia, cellulitis, GI bleeds, and alcohol withdrawal.Requirements:Experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, and Neuro required.Perform nursing duties following the American Nurses Association (ANA) and State of Michigan guidelines.Demonstrate competence in assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.Adhere to ANA standards, including ethical practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, and evidence-based practice.Strive for optimal patient outcomes and support both Med Surg and Progressive units.
