Position: Family Support Worker

Reports To: Family Supports Worker Supervisor

Beginning Pay Range: $15.00 an hour

*About this Opportunity: *

This is a part-time position in the Child Welfare Division, up to 25 hours a week, at least 

4 times including every other Saturday. Work shifts may vary to best meet the needs of the Foster Care Program. Work shifts may include evenings, Saturdays, and on occasion, Sundays. The Family Support Worker is a supportive function of the Foster Care Program. The Family Support Worker facilitates family time* for families engaged in the foster care system due to abuse or neglect. *Family Time is planned parenting time and connection between a parent and their child(ren).

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of a High School Diploma.  They will have an understanding of child development, with the ability to easily relate to children, parents, and caregivers, and to provide and maintain appropriate directions for children in a warm and understanding manner. Lastly, they will have a valid driver's license, insurance, and use of a safe and operational vehicle during working hours.
