Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer Asc (Electronics Fabrication) in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Associate for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to join the Missiles and Fire Control Manufacturing Engineering team supporting the Sustainment re-cap, re-certification, Contractor Field Service (CFS) operations.

The sustainment Manufacturing Engineer Asc is responsible for supporting sustainment and manufacturing processes for circuit card assemblies , cable and wire harnesses, electromechanical assemblies, and related sub-assemblies. Develops, creates, and maintains work instructions, task lists, and re-work/repair instructions from service notifications.

The role also involves identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans, lead sustainment manufacturing process line validation activities, driving cost reduction initiatives to closure, support testing and hardware or tooling related issues that may arise, and any other program related manufacturing or tooling issues that may arise

This position will initiate and support process improvements for electrical/mechanical area in sustainment and interfaces with shop floor personnel, shop stakeholders, and program management to encourage collaboration across the shops and the labs.

In a culture of continuous improvement our department utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive affordability and efficiency. Working with an integrated team which includes customers, suppliers and other functional personnel, non-conformances are identified, trended and resolved in a timely manner. As a vital member of the team, a Manufacturing Engineer at Missiles and Fire Control evaluates designs and provide manufacturing feedback to lead to affordable and manufacturable designs while still meeting performance requirements. The ability to question design requirements that drive cost to ensure there is good technical justification is desired.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline in STEM or equivalent combination of experience and education.

- Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

- Ability to interpret drawings, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models, product/performance specifications, and other systems integration technical data

Due to facility requirements, candidate must be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills:

- Experience with SAP MRP PRX and MRO production control system and Windchill

- Experience with electronic assembly

- Experience with CAD

- Experience with Standards (AS9100/AS9102), IPC, J-STD, and MIL-STD.

- Experience with disposition of non-conforming products and defining root cause and corrective action.

- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex

- Ability to liaison between LM Subcontractors, internal disciplines, and LM shop(s) Production Operations

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
