Description:
Position Summary:
Involved with registration, collection, processing and quality control of specimens, receives and instructs patients, processes lab orders and distributes laboratory reports.
Status: Relief
What you will need:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Phlebotomy training certification preferred.
Experience preferred.
Proficient use of computers.
What you will do:
Collect blood samples from patients.
Accurately identify, lab transfer and process specimens.
Receives and instructs patients, nurses, staff physicians, doctor’s offices regarding proper collection of specimens and laboratory reports, procedures and other lab information.
Receives and instructs patients, interprets physician’s orders, enters orders into lab computer system and schedules appointments.
