Job Title: 2nd Shift CNC Machinist
Job Description
We have four openings for 2nd Shift CNC Machinist roles, with three of these in the lathe department. This role requires more of an actual machinist than a programmer. Contract to hire or direct placement, depending on the candidate.
-Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC Machining Centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.
-Ready machines, assign personnel to various machines, potentially perform basic preventative maintenance.
-Monday through Friday, 2:45PM-11PM.
-Minimal overtime required.
-$21-$26 per hour, with a $3 per hour shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Skills
Experience in setting up CNC machines from scratch.
Experience in operating manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes.
Ability to use precision measuring tools.
Experience in recognizing worn tooling and changing in machine as required.
Ability to recognize various material types and adjust equipment accordingly.
Ability to assign personnel to various duties.
Ability to report defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products not in compliance with specifications.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Grand Haven, Michigan.
Work Environment
You will be working in a clean, medium-sized CNC shop with around 80 employees across all three shifts. The workplace comprises two buildings next to each other, one housing the Mills and the other the Lathes.
