Canad Inns Destination Center Grand Forks Tavern United Assistant Manager in Grand Forks, North Dakota

Summary:The Tavern United Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting with the overall management of the pubs day-to-day operations and for coordinating and supporting the team's efforts towards exceeding guest expectations through the consistent provision of the highest levels of customer services. The Tavern United Assistant Manager responsibilities include a direct reporting relationship with the Tavern United Manager and supporting the achievement of profitable business outcomes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supports the Manager in all aspects of full execution of running quality shifts, driving sales, and profit performance of the restaurant is consistently achieved.
  • Ensure positive guest service in all areas of service delivery and respond to complaints in a professional manner.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and monitor staff attendance management.
  • Assist the Manager with the management of food and beverage costs by supervising portion control and minimizing waste.
  • Train, observe, and coach staff to perform the duties and responsibilities of their roles and conduct follow-up when necessary to re-train or periodically review procedures.
  • Other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong working knowledge of hospitality principles and procedures, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs and point of sales systems.
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
