Mölnlycke is looking for a Senior Product Developer t o join our R&D Wound Care team out of our headquarters in Gothenburg.

In this position you’ll deliver and execute in short term lifecycle and change projects covering all products within Wound Care.

About the job

The purpose of this position is to lead the development and implementation of new products and design changes of existing products to meet customer needs and secure supply, compliance, and competitiveness. All the while keeping our business priorities of digitalisation, customer centricity and sustainability at the heart of what you do.

In this job you’ll need to be customer oriented and like to be working in a fast-changing environment. There will be a great focus on design control, sustainability, project management and to improve working methods and processes.

This role acts on a global level and interacts with many stakeholders in both markets and at the headquarters.

These are the main accountabilities for this position

You play a crucial role in projects to d rive and execute complex design control projects. You’ll drive change projects and you’ll be accountable to deliver in assigned design control roles.

You will develop product documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., Medical Device Directive or FDA’s QSR) and Mölnlycke’s Quality Management System and you will ensure that the product design verification and validation activities are carried out. You will assess the environmental impact of our concepts and work with LCAs to develop sustainable products/solutions.

You’ll be responsible to define and specify needs for new test methods and continuously suggest, lead and execute improvements such as processes, work instructions and ways of working.

Above this you’ll be coaching and mentoring colleagues within assigned area on top of technology & supplier landscape.

What you’ll need

This role is on a Senior level and we would like you to have these capabilities, qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or life science or equivalent

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience within product development

  • Minimum two years’ of experience within product development in medical devices or other regulated field

  • Experience in project management and with proven leadership skills

  • Knowledge of Global Regulatory Requirements and standards related to medical device

  • Good knowledge of all steps in IP generation

  • Customer orientation and general business acumen

  • Innovative and interested in self-development

  • High demand on communication skills

  • Fluent English written and spoken
