Overview The applicant will be responsible for supporting the research, planning, design, development, testing and evaluation of electrical components, systems, and products for defense systems.

Responsibilities

• The applicant will be responsible for supporting the research, planning, design, development, testing and evaluation of electrical components, systems, and products for defense systems.
• The applicant will establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.
• The applicant will also produce engineering documentation, reports, and drawings in support of design, development, production, and testing.
• The applicant will identify and resolve complex engineering issues.
• The applicant will document and recommend solutions to electrical components, systems, and products.
• The applicant will analyze electronic circuits through simulation and/or analysis to recommend component substitutions or redesign solutions.
• The applicant will also identify program problems and assist in establishing solutions and improved processes.
• This includes providing support in maintaining and improving the design of existing electrical components, systems, and products; this will include identifying, analyzing, and resolving obsolescence issues.
• Additional responsibilities include planning, performing, and directing engineering activities to ensure design, production, and testing conform to design specifications and requirements.
• The applicant will also support the engineering team in execution of various program activities to include:
  • Participating in program reviews
  • Interacting, communicating, and presenting to stakeholders
  • Performing and providing engineering analysis and evaluation
  • Reviewing and providing inputs to test plans/procedures and reports, technical data packages, and engineering related program documentation
  • Test execution and witnessing
  • System maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Configuration control
  • Risk management.

Skills Required

• Experience includes designing, building, integrating, testing, and maintaining electrical systems; analyzing alternatives; validating system performance; and evaluating engineering solutions.
• Applicant should be proficient in the use of M/S office applications, i.e., M/S Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.
• Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
• The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the electrical engineering related aspects of the contract and shall have demonstrated expertise in engineering concepts and processes and possess a high level of attention to detail.
• Applicant must have experience briefing senior leadership and be comfortable working with many stakeholders in an integrated environment.
• U.S. citizenship and DoD Top Secret Clearance required.
• Applicant must have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university, and a minimum of 5 years of experience designing, developing, building, analyzing, testing and maintaining electrical and electronic systems.

Education

• Bachelors degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
