Job Title: Senior Logistics Compliance, Import & Export Specialist
Summary:- Accountable for Logistics operation compliance with relative regulation include warehouse, transportation (Air, Ocean, rail) and import/export activity for Korea within Momentive supply chain.
Leading FF team on daily import/export operations
Problem solving and execution of importing and exporting of goods.
Drive ownership of compliance within the Korea Logistics team and lead projects for tracking, process improvement with import/export and regulations
Understand international agreements such as FTAs and perform management and related tasks.
The role will interact with multiple departments and will be responsible for customer requirements
Responsibilities Include:
Well understand logistics workflow and operation lead time.
Implement and monitoring the import/export procedures and control systems to ensure the smooth of import/export logistics flow.
Leading import/export logistics activity, in order to plan and optimize company’s Logistics Service Cost.
Leading daily import/export logistics operation and service provider to meet company requirements.
Analysis the import/export cost and activities to find more saving initiatives or operation improvements.
Ensure the daily operation issue from service provider have communicate to team for problem solving and preventive action implementation.
Supervising a sub-contractor in handling import/export shipments related.
Works effectively across logistics service provider (2PL, 3PL & 4PL) to solve import/export service issue.
Daily monitor shipment plan VS actual to ensure that shipment arrive within target schedule.
Consult and provider solution related import, export regulation and Korea trade agreements.
Escalate to Logistics Operation Leader or GTC if there are any operation concern to Customs requirements or any regulation requirements.
Pro-active generation of new ideas and new approaches.
Responsible for customs duty and tax planning
Ensure compliance for hazardous materials and Dangerous Goods regulations (IATA, IMDG ……) Korea, Training, Education, Creating Routines that support and driving accountability.
Ensure compliance with Momentive Global Standards for transport of goods and materials and dock safety.
Assist Freight Forwarder and other terminals combustible Liquids in Bulk Packaging
Monitor and adjust polices to ensure compliance with modified regulations.
Support sites to verify product relabeling and/or packaging changes are implemented as required by regulatory product reclassifications.
Responsible for all DG related compliance issues in Korea.
Enforce use of Transportation MOC.
Perform DG transportation risk assessments and audits (as required).
Partner with GTC & PS team in selection of service providers to ensure meeting import/export regulations as well as all duty programs.
Leading and driving on continue improvement.
Additional Job Description
Determination and management of origin of finished product.
Maintain/ manage FTA pass system
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
[Basic Qualifications]
Bachelor’s degree or higher in logistics or supply chain any related fields.
5 years+ experience in logistics, shipping, DOT regulations, IATA, IMDG and import/export experience
3 years in Privates Control & regulations formality process or any other regulation compliance with overall import activities and shipping documentation.
Good skill in customs clearance & Regulations formality process
Good in communicate and written in English.
Safety consciousness.
Strong analytical, decision and strategic thinking skills with an attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders in a matrix environment.
Highly motivated and energetic with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated project management and/or time management skills
[Preferred Qualifications]
Greenbelt or Blackbelt Certified
Experience / working knowledge of silicones or chemical operations.
Working knowledge of SAP, APICS and Lean six sigma black belt certifications
