Job Description Summary

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.

Molecular imaging is a strategic Business unit for PDx business where we see significant growth potential for the use of Molecular Imaging to enable precision health. We have a foundation of established proprietary products and now plan to build on this significantly with the development and launch of a growing innovative pipeline of products that will enable better diagnostic decisions and clinical outcomes across Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, cardiology and oncology. We are also partnering with Pharma Companies and the research community to create companion diagnostic solutions that support patient selection and monitoring through the development of immuno-oncology therapies. Strengthening our partnerships with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and nuclear pharmacies is a critical success factor for us and this newly created role will be critical to ensuring the successful implementation of our strategy for both our mature portfolio and our new product introductions.

The Senior Director, Strategic partnership’s role is responsible for translating our disease area and products specific strategies into CMO/Nuclear pharmacy strategies and driving strategy implementation with CMOs/Nuclear pharmacies including evolving existing relationships and forging new partnerships to achieve key strategic objectives. This role will be the primary relationship owner with the C-Suite, commercial and business development stakeholders of all CMO/nuclear pharmacy partners and will own the overall negotiations of new partnerships and will establish governance & operating mechanisms that ensures seamless execution of partnership goals .

This role will have direct P&L responsibility for our core SPECT portfolio and will be a growth enabler for our new product introductions and relaunches across care areas. This role will be expected to rally a diverse cross functional team behind our partnership vision and goals including supply chain, sourcing, quality, IT, com ops, commercial, regulatory, commercial operations …etc. driving a consistent message about GE Healthcare’s vision and plans with our strategic partners and ensuring alignment for success.

Job Description

  • Translates disease area strategy into CMO strategy and plan: in collaboration and partnership with each of the disease area General Managers, Product Managers and Marketing team reviews comprehensive market data to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential partnership opportunitiesand creates and facilitates execution of a business model and commercial strategy (both direct and indirect) that involves CMO/Nuclear pharmacy partnerships.

  • Negotiate and Manage Partnerships: Lead the negotiation of partnership agreements, ensuring they meet the strategic and financial objectives of each asset. Oversee the management of ongoing partnerships to maximize value creation.

  • Engagement : Develop training and incentive programs to improve CMO engagement and interest in driving GE’s products success and increase partners mindshare (e.g. Sales training, Revenue sharing, volume-based, dose fees, ….etc.)

  • CMO OTR model: Build OTR strategy by CMO and asset and drive implementation.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for strategic partnerships. Report on the impact of these partnerships on business growth and strategic goals.

  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead a team of 2 partnership professionals (Pharmacy sales directors). Provide guidance and mentorship to team members

  • Representing GE Healthcare at quarterly business reviews to drive consistent performance (cost, quality, output) and highest Customer satisfaction.

  • Accountable to ensure key milestones are achieved, including site activation plans are met, co-promotion deliverables are met, on-time payment schedules, demand forecast accuracy, coordination of sales and promotional training courses.

  • Actively supporting compliance with existing partnership agreements.

  • Actively supporting successful negotiation and closing of partnership agreement renewals/amendments.

  • Serve as the CMO single point of contact and liaise with internal the cross functional teams on delivering partnership goals from both manufacturing and commercial standpoints

  • Empower, inspire, and grow high-performing commercial team by providing strategic direction and fostering a culture based on GE HealthCare cultural operating principles.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited university (MBA is a plus)

  • 10+ years of experience in Business development, Executive sales management, Program management, Product management, commercial operations, or Strategic Sourcing.

  • Strong strategic and ethical leadership: Strategic thinking for long-term planning, and adherence to high ethical standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong collaboration skills and agility: Effective cross-functional collaboration, influencing skills to align internal and external stakeholders, and adaptability to respond to new information and changing circumstances.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and lean mindset.

  • Experience developing and executing multiple priorities and approaches to meet objectives.

  • Strong communicator

  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills: Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with C-Suite level of customers/partners.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong deal architect and negotiator (BD or commercial experience in structuring and closing large deals)

  • Program management experience in managing complex partnerships/collaborations

  • Nuclear medicine industry background is a strong plus

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $182,800.00-$274,200.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
