IFF is seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual to join our Scent Business as Account Manager, for one of our Top Global Customers in China.

Your Focus

Drive sustainable profitable sales & IFF market share growth by identifying the customer needs & opportunities, establishing/ building solid customer relationship, leading & coordinating IFF activities and promoting/selling relevant IFF fragrance solutions for a given geography country/region) or customers.

Job Scope

Global Account: Work under supervision of Regional and Global Account managers on given categories with focus in Greater China and accountable for the assigned $ sales budget.

How you will contribute

• Strategic management of Global Account in Greater China for the development and growth of fragrance sales with all assigned brands and categories.

• Manage and support local & regional projects (proactive, reactive) to meet deadlines and Customer’s requirements, through identification of their needs, market trend and analysis, working with both regional and local cross-functional teams to develop new ideas, new product strategy, and providing outstanding client services through problem solving and being a business partner.

• Identify Customer’s needs and market trends; perform market analysis for new product opportunities, and present ideas or strategies to the customers.

• Establish and execute local sales/account management strategy, forecast, planning and budgeting.

• Manage the supplier-customer relationship through intensive network, providing client services in terms of problem solving on commercial and supply chain issues, and being a business partner.

• Build awareness and understanding of cross-functional customer organization and focus on building relationships with customer decision makers/influencers.

• Set clear commercial targets (Sales/GP/EP) annually, define and request the required Account resources aligned to strategic plan.

• Monitor account sales performance (monthly/ quarterly/annually) and provide strategic project updates to line management.

• Communicate project results and/or organize internal debrief.

• Coordinate win/loss analysis and share project learning’s via knowledge management system with support of line management.

Job Requirements

What you will need to be successful

Experience:

• Between 1-3 years in the Fragrance Industry in Sales

• Around 4-6 years of Sales experience in other industries preferably FMCG, Flavors, Chemical/Ingredients, etc.

Skills:

• Ability to deal with financial concepts/processes (pricing/margin/forecasting) and work with IT systems.

• Ability to work in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders, connection with other countries, regions and global account team.

• Passion for fragrance with strong interests in product development, consumers and market understanding (Marketing/R&D/CI).

• Sound fragrance knowledge and olfactive skills.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• Great communication and presentation skills.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

• Availability for periodic travels in Asia

• Strong verbal and written skills in English.

Essential:

• Preferable Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Business, Marketing or Engineering.
