City Of Glenwood Springs Part Time Building Lead in Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Position Summary: Supports Recreation activities, programs and rentals; assists other parks and recreation staff and facility staff during peak and before/after hour use and maintains order in all activity areas. Must be capable of handling emergencies or building evacuations; and enforcing all rules and policies as established by the department. Responsible for rentals set-up and teardowns, rental supervision for before and after regular business hours and weekend rentals, customer service, and general cleaning duties. Essential Functions: Oversees fire, life and safety issues in Community Center and Ice Rink. Act as the on-site rental liaison ensuring renters are complying with stated rules and guidelines and providing assistance as requested. Maintains order in all center areas and regularly walks through Community Center to ensure safety of guests and staff. Responsible for responding to the needs of rentals during non-business hour rentals. Demonstrates strong customer service skills while meeting and serving the public effectively. Assists with room set up/down and equipment set up for rentals or center programs. Performs walk through inspections of facility and rooms after rentals vacate; checks for damages, inventories all equipment, and provides maintenance recommendations to keep operating safety. Reports all maintenance and janitorial requests to Facilities Division as needed. Preforms minimal maintenance and custodial duties as assigned; taking out trash, replacing light bulbs, moving signage and cones. Perform snow removal tasks utilizing various machinery and hand tools.

Education, Training & Certifications: Necessary: Must be at least 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED. Valid Colorado driver's license with a good driving record. CPR/First Aid required within first 6 months of hire. Knowledge of Windows based applications to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
Desired: Previous experience in customer service Previous events experience or building services experience. Two (2) years of staff management experience. Knowledge of RecTrac.
