SUMMARY

Responsible for the management of all grants, contracts, staff, programs, and services within the TCS department.

JOB DUTIES

  • Provide overall administration of all TCS department grants, contracts, staff, programs, and services.
  • Provide administrative supervision of all TCS staff according to CRNA administrative policies.
  • Assess TCS staff training needs and ensure all staff receives proper training that enables them to provide courteous and effective services that meet client needs and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Ensure client records are complete, up to date, and meet program and statutory guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and current client demographics and data on all TCS programs and services.
  • Conduct program planning to ensure all program goals are congruent with tribal needs.
  • Monitor all TCS programs to ensure they meet established goals.
  • Ensure CRNA Owner Tribes and tribal members are aware of and have easy access to all social service programs including; 477 Plan for Workforce Development, General Assistance, Burial Assistance, Emergency Assistance, Indian Child Welfare Act, and Ahtna Language program, Social Security Representative Payee, Indian General Assistant Programs, Tribal Response Program, and other TCS programs.
  • Collaborate with other CRNA departments to ensure clients are receiving the most comprehensive service possible.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external partnerships to achieve program goals.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department to develop an annual TCS Department budget.
  • Monitor all TCS expenditures to ensure they are accurate, within budgetary limits, used for their stated purpose, and comply with statutory requirements.
  • Oversee the Reporting Requirements for grants, contracts, and agreements and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reports
  • Maximize third-party billing where possible to increase program revenue.
  • Participate in CRNA management meetings as required and collaborate with other directors and managers to ensure the overall success of CRNA.
  • Attend staff, Tribal Council, community, and regional meetings as requested or required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in social work, public administration, or related field.
  • Seven (7) years of program management experience.
  • A combination of experience, education, and training may substitute for degree requirements on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree
  • Eight (8) years of program management experience.

The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 25 lbs. The majority of work is performed in an office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities. CRNA is a smoke-free and tobacco-free campus. Works in an environment where the protection of client confidentiality is essential. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided when and where needed. May require local travel between compact tribes of CRNA which may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions.

SPECIFICATIONS

Supervision Received:

General guidelines for operations are based on program requirements, conditions of grant award(s), and the general policies and procedures of CRNA. Work will be monitored through meetings, reports, and regular communication with the immediate supervisor.

Supervision Exercised:

The position will supervise and oversee the day to day operations of assigned staff. Complete required documentation, including performance review, performance evaluations, and training recommendation.

Contacts:

Contacts include and not limited to volunteers, organizational staff, clients, and outside agencies.

  • CRNA is a no tolerance workplace. All employees must pass an initial and random drug and alcohol screening to be eligible for and maintain employment.
  • CRNA has several positions that require a criminal background check for the safety of our clients. All employment offers in the covered classification are conditional until CRNA has received a Federal criminal background check verifying eligibility to work in these programs.
  • First Aid/CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire for required positions.
  • Annual TB screens for required positions.
