Drivers Edge Driver Training LLC Administrative Assistant - Driving School in Gig Harbor, Washington

JOB SUMMARY:

This position provides administrative onsite support to Driver's Edge Driver Training School and staff and provides customer service to walk ins and established students and their families. The purpose of the duties performed is to ensure that all school processes are completed in a highly professional manner on a timely basis.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school graduation or equivalent with training in clerical procedures and three years of experience in an office setting, including experience in maintaining records, database entry, records maintenance and excel spreadsheets. Exposure to the driver's licensing process is desirable. Must pass background check.

     

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • The ability to work efficiently with a service-oriented attitude under stressful situations with constant interruption. Proven demonstration of positive human relations attitudes and skills and ability to maintain composure.
  • Maintain excellent personal relations and communication skills (verbal and written) with staff and the public at large. Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and English usage in written communications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess a keen sense of judgment & discretion.
  • Ability to organize and set priorities, demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Computer experience on various software systems including MS Office, etc.; expert in office automation.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Skill in operating a variety of office machines.
  • Positive attitude and team player.

     

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide onsite customer service for walk-ins.
  • Answer the phone.
  • Participates and assists with coordination of staff meetings.
  • Written communication includes drafting, editing, and responding to emails in a timely professional manner.
  • Accurate and timely input of data into school database. Accurate and timely input of data into the DOL system.
  • Assist with schedule and reschedule of appointments.
  • Employ a high level of confidentiality concerning student records.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe facility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the CEO and Office Manager.

     

WORK REQUIREMENTS

  • Part time hours
  • Flexible to increase work hours as needed.
