Siemens Energy NDT Level I FPI Processor 2nd Shift in Gibsonton, Florida
A Snapshot of Your Day
Will support manufacturing and processing blades and vanes on the Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection line with NDT Level 1 responsibility for inspection in the Gibsonton Florida Location.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Will bring sufficient technical knowledge, and skills to be qualified to properly perform specific calibrations, specific process examinations, and specific process evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and to record results.
Process investment castings to customer specifications covered by the specific work instructions/technique.
Maintain penetrant line within proper operating parameters including lighting, penetrant chemical levels, and mixtures.
Ensure parts are properly processed to work instructions including external and internal surfaces are dry and excess penetrant has been removed and ready for examination.
Monitor all trainees working on the line to ensure they are not independently conducting, interpreting, evaluating, or reporting the process results of any FPI test without direct supervision from the Level I or Level II inspector.
Other duties may be assigned, and cross-training as needed.
What You Bring
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
Investment casting experience and knowledge is preferred.
General knowledge of other NDT disciplines is a plus.
Achieve and maintain internal certifications per SNT-TC-1A and customer requirements including examination for general method knowledge, specific procedure understanding, and practical performance of the method.
Must become trained to the PT certification requirements including 12 hours of formal classroom training and 400 hours of OJT under a certified NDT Level I, II, or III.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
