County of Adams Children and Youth Administrative Officer in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

As the Administrative Officer for the Adams County Children and Youth agency, you will be expected to perform a full range of management functions relating to managing contracts with providers, preparing needs-based budgeting, crafting policies and protocols, and overseeing pilot projects. This position will oversee the annual licensure review process by DHS, as well as the Every Student Succeeds Act for affected students in Adams County. The person in this role will be expected to perform data analysis to identify and recommend changes within the agency as needed and will be responsible for directly supervising approximately 4 people.  Strong MS Office skills are essential in order to be successful in this position, including above average skill in Excel and Power Point. 

MERIT HIRE

Minimum qualifications: 

  1. Must have two or more years of working experience as a supervisor.
  2. Must have a bachelor's degree that includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in social science. 
  3. This position will be required to obtain the Direct Service worker and Supervisor certification after hire. 

Clearances required to obtain prior to hire (see attachment for further explanation):

  1. Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 33)
  2. Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check (Act 34)
  3. FBI Criminal Background Check (Act 73)

Compensation: $52,282.36 annually minimum to start. This is a full time exempt position.
