Insight Global Cleared Firewall Engineer in Germantown, Maryland
Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Firewall Engineer to sit on hybrid once a week in Germantown, MD supporting their government customers. This individual will be responsible for aiding in the deployment, maintenance, and operations of their new firewall solution, Prisma Access. They will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining this Firewall solution both for maintenance and operation purposes. This person will be the go-to individual for all issues regarding Prisma Access troubleshooting. They will be working in a Linux environment supporting 145 on prem Firewalls and Cloud Firewalls and using Splunk to monitor for any issues. This person will also be addressing complex networking and security related issues associated with Prisma Access.

Skills and Requirements
- Active TS Clearance or DoE Q Clearance
- Bachelors degree in information technology or a related field
- 10 years of IT experience (No degree and 14 years of experience)
- Professional experience with Prisma Access and Palo Alto Firewalls
o Ability to configure, troubleshoot, and maintain on prem and cloud technologies (Azure and AWS)
o Experience providing on prem and cloud support
- Professional experience working in a Linux environment
- Experience working with Splunk for monitoring
- Ability to configure security protocols to Prisma Access platform to adhere to government standards - Masters degree is applicable field
- Experience working in a Windows environment
- Programming and scripting knowledge
- Experience working with the Dept of Energy
- Networking experience, troubleshooting on Routers and Switches null
