Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
• Basic knowledge and understanding of COSO Internal Control-Integrated Framework, COBIT framework, NIST frameworks and other IT related regulations
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret GAAP, SEC guidance and other federal regulations, and state insurance department statutes
• Uses logic and reasoning skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with Aflac’s senior management, and internal and external business contacts
• Exhibits and maintains professionalism in accordance with corporate standards
• Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office software, including intermediate proficiency in Word and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel; ability to utilize Visio for process mapping
Education & Experience Required
Bachelor's Degree In accounting, information systems, management information systems, finance, business administration, computer science or a related field
Zero to two years of related work experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation or working toward one of these designations
Travel

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Determines audit scope and assists in developing and writing the audit work program; interviews employees and performs the audit work as developed in the audit program utilizing automated facilities wherever feasible
• Evaluates audit reports to verify that all issues have satisfactory responses; analyzes audit results ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, efficiency of operations, and protection of company assets
• Performs thorough reviews of assigned areas including transactions, documents, records, physical assets, applications, databases, IT assets and automated functions, reviewing for accuracy, adequate control, and operational efficiency
• Advises Internal Audit management of any events or occurrences which could be construed to be fraud or violation of established laws or statutes; documents audit findings that will be the basis for the final report
• Assists with the preparation of draft audit reports for supervisory review, including audit findings and recommendations; participates in closing conferences with management to discuss audit results; may prepare PowerPoint presentations, visuals, graphs, and other materials as requested
• Performs special tasks as requested; participates with system development teams as the IT internal controls specialist
• Travel required approximately 30% of the time
• Performs other related duties as required

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $42,000 to $98,000.
