Position Summary
The School of Business at SUNY Geneseo is inviting applications for a full-time Lecturer in Business position to begin August 2025. The contract term is two (02) years and renewable based on performance and needs.
Duties of the position include:
Teach four (04) management and marketing-related courses per semester, which are offered face-to-face/in-person on campus.
Undergraduate-level teaching responsibilities may include Introduction to Business, Consumer Behavior, Organizational Behavior, and Business Communication. Depending on the school’s needs and the candidate’s academic background, preparation, and professional experience, the Lecturer may also teach Advertising, Personal Selling, Marketing Research, and other courses.
Develop new courses to meet the changing needs of students and employers.
Provide academic and career advising and mentoring to students on campus.
Service to the School of Business and the College.
Maintain academic or professional qualifications per the School’s AACSB faculty qualification standards.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in business, management, marketing, or related fields from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching undergraduate marketing and management courses in the face-to-face/in-person mode.
Demonstrated proficiency using state-of-the-art computer applications in their discipline, online resources, online learning platforms, and other technologies for the classroom.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive working/teaching environment.
Related professional experience in business or marketing fields.
Preferred Qualifications
A professional licensure or certification in business or marketing areas.
Experience in developing and coordinating curricular and co-curricular programs.
Experience in providing academic and career advice to students.
Ability to teach a variety of courses in management and marketing.
