Location/Division Specific Information

Located at our Suseo Office in Seoul, Korea, this role is integral to the Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) business area, which Thermo Fisher Scientific is keenly passionate about rapidly growing. This sector is specifically targeted for significant growth and investment by the company, with a primary focus on assisting customers in developing innovative treatments.

How will you make an impact?

As a Sales Development, you will give to the success of the divisions by crafting strong market positioning and value propositions, improving customer relationships, and directly influencing the progress of sophisticated medical and scientific fields.

What will you do?

  • Implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and increase market share.

  • Place a strong emphasis on key account management, with a focus that spans pre-sales to post-sales activities.

  • Work closely with other divisions within Thermo Fisher to integrate broad corporate capabilities and build a comprehensive customer value proposition (CVP) to propose the cross-divisional CGT portfolio to customers.

  • Develop and maintain robust relationships with both existing and potential customers to understand their needs and provide customized solutions.

  • Conduct comprehensive market analyses to identify and assess new business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Field Application Scientists (FAS) to deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.

  • Regularly attend industry conferences, events, exhibitions, and workshops to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies.

  • Work in close coordination with the marketing department to craft and publicize a robust Customer Value Proposition in line with market demands and the company’s strategic direction.

How will you get there?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences, biology, chemistry, or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in sales, marketing, sales development or technical sales within the biotech, biopharmaceutical, or related industry.

  • Preference given to candidates with practical experience in various analytical methods used in biotechnology.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Technical knowledge related to biotech products and services.

  • Broad understanding of the biotechnology

  • Knowledge of a range of analytical methods applicable to biotechnology processes.

  • Ability to accurately identify customer technical needs and propose solutions based on those needs.

  • Proficient in communicating sophisticated scientific information clearly and concisely.

  • Capability to collaborate with different departments

  • Critical thinking skills to analyze the market and establish a competitive advantage.
