Robert Half Staff Accountant in Gallatin, Tennessee
Description We are in the process of recruiting a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Gallatin, Tennessee. In this role, you will be expected to prepare financial reports, conduct bank reconciliations, and perform cyclical audits. Your role will also require you to exhibit strong interpersonal skills and business acumen.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately perform journal entries and accruals for month end close by analyzing cost and controls
• Conduct comprehensive monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage, process, and account for capital expenditures, including setting up depreciation in ERP system and managing fixed asset registry
• Handle and account for tooling expenditures
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget with cost and trend analysis
• Possibly perform BOM analysis, updates, and standard cost rolls
• Reconcile and analyze inventory balances and assist with physical inventories
• Update labor and overhead rates for annual standards
• Prepare daily reports
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, ensuring projects have clear financial objectives and results are tracked and reported accordingly
• Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes, aiming for expedited and more accurate processes
• Ensure compliance with all corporate financial policies in daily, weekly, and monthly activities
• Support internal and external auditors during annual and quarterly audits. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing and management
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
• Capability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently
• Solid understanding of General Ledger accounting principles
• Familiarity with Journal Entries preparation and posting
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in using NetSuite for financial management and accounting
• Experience with Oracle financial software for accounting tasks
• Knowledge of QuickBooks for small business financial management
• Familiarity with SAP for enterprise resource planning and finance management
