Superior Paving Corp. SENIOR ACCOUNTANT in Gainesville, Virginia
Superior Paving is looking for a Senior Accountant with 2-4 years of experience to work at our Coporate Office in Gainesville, VA. This position will be responsible for accurately tracking, analyzing, and reporting on projects/jobs as well as performing closing responsibilities and analysis. Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process for various companies, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform variance analysis.
- Compile and review financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Track and monitor job costs, ensuring they are recorded accurately and complete job cost adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with project managers to update project forecasts.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, and other departments to support accounting needs.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Other duties as assigned.
