Job Title: Tooling Technician
Job Description
As a Tooling Technician, you will work from blueprints, schematics, drawings, work instructions, and sketches. You will be responsible for planning the setup and operation of machine shop tools, working within tight tolerances when machining, heat treating/welding parts as needed, fitting and assembling mold parts, tools, and dies, and ensuring parts are made to customer specifications using precision measuring tools. Additionally, you will trace die difficulties to their source and make necessary repairs, and assist in injection molding press overhauls.
Responsibilities
Work from blueprints, schematics, drawings, work instructions, and sketches
Plan the setup and operation of machine shop tools
Work within tight tolerances when machining
Heat treat and weld parts as needed
Fit and assemble mold parts, tools, and dies
Ensure parts are made to customer specifications using precision measuring tools
Trace die difficulties to their source and make necessary repairs
Assist in injection molding press overhauls
Essential Skills
Experience with mold, blueprint, tooling, die repair, mechanical work, lathe, mill
Setup and operation of machine shop tools/machines including mills, lathes, grinders
Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, sketches, and work instructions
Fitting and assembling mold parts, tools, and dies
Welding on dies as needed
Experience with injection molding, machining, plastic, tool and die, repair, die maintenance, injection mold, weld
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
2+ years in a related role
Nice to have: Experience in an injection molding die maintenance role

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $66560.00/yr.
$1 Shift Differential
Bi-weekly pay
Profit sharing bonus program - determined by individual and company performance and wages earned during the bonus period. During initial year of employment bonus is prorated based on your start date and will be paid twice per year in June & Dec.

40 hours of vacation during 1st year of employment (.77 hours accrued per week)
1 to 6 years employment = 80 hours (1.54 hours per week)
6 - 15 years employment = 120 hours (2.31 hours accrued per week)
15+ years employment = 160 hours (3.08 hours accrued per week)
Vacation starts accruing day 1
