JOB SUMMARY

As a CBRE Senior Facilities Manager, you will lead many functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings.

This job is part of the functional area of facilities management, which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets. It provides support to property managers regarding repairs and investment plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Track staff training and development. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees

  • Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed

  • Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors

  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues

  • Prepared and led large, high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports

  • Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal laws. Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities

  • Build environmental health and safety procedures for facilities

  • Develop vendor relationships and supervise invoicing procedures. Review and approve purchase orders for procuring project parts, services, and labor

  • Apply broad business knowledge that integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans

  • Identify and tackle complex technical and operational problems

  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department

  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree. A valid driver's license is required. Facility Management certification is preferred.

  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

  • Ability to exchange sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and balance problems.

  • Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Senior Facilities Manager position is $135,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr Facilities Manager position is $175,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
