Aerotek Electromechanical Assembler in Fremont, California

Description:

• Identify necessary equipment to perform assigned operations. • Assemble components into mechanical assemblies per specification by following work instructions. • Performing assembly, inspection, documentation and shipment activities, to defined work instructions, and quality procedures • Utilizing common measurement tools and gages, such as Calipers, Hanging Scales, Radius, Thread and Countersink Gages, Etc., to perform quality inspections. Utilizing pressure test equipment, for validation testing • Operate dependably, under minimal supervision • Quickly identifying and escalating any non-conformance, quality, or safety issues to the Manufacturing Manager/Supervisor • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment • Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes. • May require extended periods of standing or sitting. • Ability to lift (up to) 50 pounds. • Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting may be required. • Check the quality of the work done by others; provide technical opinions to employees who need assistance with resolving technical issues. Check the quality of your own work. • Maintain daily goals and targets for production. • Report all production/assembly mistakes or defects in workmanship to your supervisor as they occur. • Keep all aspects of your work, schedules, and other Company information confidential.

• Must be motivated a self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision to complete time sensitive tasks • Maintaining a constructive work environment, which includes self-evaluation of work performance. • Build positive attitudes and morale by being enthusiastic and insightful. • Ability to develop, learn, implement, and follow organizational policies with respect to the prevention of illness and injury—of and to all organizational staff, customers, associates, and others. • High School Diploma, or equivalent • Good communication, written and verbal skills. Good reading comprehension • Good organizational skills, and attention to detail • Ability to multi-task • 2+ years’ hands-on experience in Assembly or related functions • 2+ years’ college or vocational training in this field, or exceptional direct experience • Knowledge of diagram modifications if diagrams are incorrect. • Familiarity with basic assembly procedure for control consoles, main machines, and sub-assemblies. • Ability to manipulate and use CRT/screens, keyboards, mouse/pointing devices, etc.
