As a valued member of our international Sports Medicine R&D team you support the advancement of image-based enabling technology.
You perform independent research in which you work with three-dimensional models and image data and evaluate ideas for our future pipeline.
Leveraging your expertise in image segmentation, you assess how different imaging modalities impact the accuracy and reliability of morphological analyses.
You improve your Matlab scripting skills by implementing and evaluating novel analysis processes related to assessing pathological joint morphology.
You will gain deep clinical insights and have the opportunity to observe surgeon interaction.
Contributing to scientific publications will allow you to enhance your scientific writing skills.
This is what sets you apart:
Academic Pursuit: You are currently pursuing a biomedical engineering or a related engineering degree and are actively seeking a master's thesis project for a 6-month duration.
Technical Drive: Your passion lies in expanding your technical expertise, particularly in areas such as 3D image analysis, segmentation, scripting/programming, and data/statistical analysis.
Software Savvy: You eagerly apply your proficiency in software applications, including Matlab (with image processing toolboxes), Mimics Medical, R, or similar tools.
Clinical Insight: Ideally, you possess a solid grasp of clinical concepts and have prior research experience, enabling you to work independently.
Effective Communication: Your strong spoken and written English skills empower you to confidently engage in our international environment and successfully complete your master's thesis in scientific English.
Start: October 2024
Duration: 6 months
