We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Designer to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a parental leave. The ideal candidate will be able to independently handle all technical design responsibilities and contribute to our projects with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop products using our established technical design standards.
Conduct in-person fittings to ensure product accuracy and quality.
Work closely with vendors and sourcing teams to ensure successful execution of designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and models using industry-standard software.
Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure design integrity and compliance with standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the development and production phases.
Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, changes, and updates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Technical Design, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical design, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and CLO 3D (training in 3D software will be provided if needed).
Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule:
This position requires working from our office in Maine 2 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
