Location: Customer location in Rockville, Maryland ( 9201 Corporate Blvd, Rockville, MD 20850 ). This is a fully on-site position, Monday - Friday.

Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to Rockville, MD.

How Will You Make an Impact?

As a Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and empower a team of inventory and logistics staff, directly contributing to an exceptional customer experience.

  • Apply your communication skills to support team members and key clients.

  • Drive excellence through clear communication, scientific teamwork, service scope expansion, SLA adherence, development of business metrics, and team management.

  • Champion innovation and practical process improvements within the program.

  • Heightened attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in meetings with customers and upper management.

  • Instill a customer-focused culture that promotes loyalty through the delivery of market-leading customer experiences.

  • Ensure all team members are properly trained and that procedures and policies are accurately documented for business continuity.

  • Assign and manage workflow to ensure excellent service delivery through appropriate staff planning, people development, improvement projects, and scheduling to meet/exceed client and leadership goals.

  • Establish a continuous improvement environment and coach/mentor process improvement activities or projects conducted by team members.

  • Formulate a vision for the customer service team and drive customer service strategies to execution.

  • Maintain KPIs and metrics to find opportunities for improvement and cascade monitoring and actions to team leaders.

  • Manage outsourced resources to improve productivity, effectiveness, and the team’s workload.

  • Maintain areas in a high state of inspection readiness, including laboratory housekeeping and compliance.

  • Align with the company vision and mission of cross-training and support different areas of service as required based on business needs and as assigned by the Supervisor.

  • Ensure deliveries of customer inbound freight and packages to various locations throughout customer site are completed accurately.

  • Maintain Shipping and Receiving packing materials.

  • Daily use of powered and manual pallet jacks and lifters.

  • Strong attention to detail in daily site safety procedures.

  • Review work instructions with leadership and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of experience in a laboratory setting.

  • Expertise in GMP/GLP environments preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Inventory Management.

  • Proven excellence in developing customer relationships.

  • Experience with receiving dangerous goods a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Analytical and critical thinking abilities; strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Focus on laboratory safety and GXP compliance.

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including experience writing procedures and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (with heightened proficiency in Excel) and experience using other computer software programs.

  • Strong customer service skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $59,400.00–$79,200.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
