Seeking an Electrical Controls Engineering with experience programming Siemens PLCs. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of troubleshooting PLC and HMI programs, driving improvements in a high-speed asphalt roofing manufacturing facility. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead change management, and be the project manager for installation projects. responsibilities:
Troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs, instrumentation, and drives.
Siemens PLC programming
Analyze data for quantifiable improvements in manufacturing.
Manage improvements across multiple production lines.
Identify gaps in automation deployment and implement PLC program improvements.
Facilitate change management and sustainment documentation.
Perform electrical and controls layouts, update drawings in CAD.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Engineers, Operations, and Maintenance.
Analyze machines for conformance with operational standards.
Improve manufacturing systems and reliability of electrical, control systems.
Be flexible and adaptive in a fast-changing environment.
Assume project manager role for improvement projects.
Write project specifications for vendor bids.
Provide project justification and cost-benefit analysis.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams in design, planning, installation, and commissioning.
Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering field and 3 years of professional experience.
Extensive background in PLC code development.
Experience with motion control systems using VFDs and Servos (Siemens preferred).
Electrical distribution troubleshooting and design experience.
HMI programming experience (Aveva preferred).
Knowledgeable user of AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office.
Effective presentation and communication skills.
Apply principles of mathematics, statistics, and engineering.
Empowered, self-directed individual capable of prioritizing workload.
