Description:

Fraser Villa is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Facilities. As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental services within our facility. This includes managing the maintenance and cleanliness of our physical environment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and implementing and monitoring effective waste management practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental service policies and procedures

  • Manage and supervise a team of environmental service staff

  • Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean and safe manner

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with all environmental and health regulations

  • Develop and manage the department budget

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to environmental services.

  • Contracting with service providers for (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Suppression systems)

  • Maintain Safety programs: Life safety compliance, Drills and Simulations, Emergency preparedness

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, facilities management, or related field (preferred)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental services management

  • Experience in a long term care or health care facility (preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and waste management practices

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
