LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

Location: Middletown, OH

About the Position: The Logistics Coordinator will support the logistics and supply chain operations of our new division focused on delivering aggregate materials to multiple construction sites across the country. This role involves coordinating daily logistics activities, managing transportation schedules, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics or supply chain management and a strong focus on customer service and operational efficiency. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting directly to the General Manager of operations.  

Key Responsibilities:  

Daily Logistics Coordination:

  • Assist in coordinating daily transportation and delivery schedules for aggregate materials.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dispatching of deliveries to construction sites.

Communication and Customer Service:

  • Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any inquiries or issues.
  • Provide regular updates to customers on delivery status.

?Vendor and Carrier Coordination:

  • Liaise with transportation providers and carriers to arrange and track shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with service agreements and delivery requirements.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and logistics activities.
  • Prepare and process necessary documentation for shipments and deliveries.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Assist in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to the General Manager.

Problem Resolution:

  • Identify and address any logistical challenges or delays.
  • Work collaboratively with key operations members to implement solutions and improvements.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Support the implementation of safety protocols within logistics operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant work experience or a combination of degree, professional training and experience will be considered.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
