Job Description Summary
The Global Supply Chain Planner will play an active role in translating the key element of the business strategies into tactical functional initiatives to meet the service, cash/inventory and cost-to-serve objectives across all commercial regions.
The role will execute on the supply of the determined quantities by product required to maintain revenue, inventory & service levels. The role will ensure global distribution network supply, taking into account the appropriate lead times to replenish to the Global & Regional distribution centers. The Global Supply Chain Planner will be the main point of contact between the global (external) suppliers and the Global Platform leader, to enable the business to achieve the business strategy while meeting Supply Chain key performance indicators.
The role also plays a crucial and leading role in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to ensure excellence in execution after the Global Platform & Finance teams have driven decision making towards regions in the so called “Supply Response”.

Supply Planning
Responsible for managing a global supply plan for assigned products to maximize service levels to customers and optimize working capital spend; in line with global business guidelines and directions
Ensure global supply - translate business & inventory needs into supply requirements, ultimately to supply to the commercial regions (US, Canada, EMEA, LATAM & CASAJ)
Engage with the other worldwide planning organizations on management of long-term product supply shortages e.g., temporarily reduce inventory targets in order to automate the propagation & distribution of the materials with shortages, support manual allocation strategies to the regions to allow fair share deployment
SIOP Process Facilitation
Execution of supply response from the Integrated Business Planning Process to the region supply chain teams.
Ensures timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum to accurately determine global allocation plan
Collaborate with all regional teams, procurement and external vendors for assessment and understanding of their needs
Support worldwide Supply Chain key initiatives to accomplish back order performance and line fill rates
Business Performance Management
Support continuous improvement and cost reduction or efficiency initiatives of the assigned platform
Support the business launch strategy from a supply chain point of view (Start-up of lines for stock build, Shelf life management, etc.)
Responsible for achieving global performance metrics of Back order, Line fill and Inventory levels of its portfolio
Execution of manual allocation of products to regional distributions hubs.
Consolidate and challenge the regional input for the demand planning process
Work with regional supply chain teams to achieve an optimal distribution network and maintain a key coordination point with local warehouse management and transportation functions
Operational Management
Purchase order (receipts) adjustments per supplier updates to reflect accurate supply visibility to the regional teams
Manage expediting supply orders when needed
Data management to support accurate information flow to ServiceMax (= Technical Service tool)
Providing estimated dates based on the system to inquiring Regional SC teams
Position Requirements
EDUCATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Operations
Minimum of 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experienced and demonstrated working knowledge of SAP-SCM or Kinaxis systems
Strong data analytics in Excel and Power BI
Tangible & proven experience with inventory management and network optimization
Knowledge and awareness of Lean techniques and Six Sigma
Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI and QlikView are a plus
COMPETENCIES:
Strong interpersonal skills required in the areas of verbal and written communications, customer focus and professionalism
Strong listening, questioning, problem-solving and assessment skills
Must have knowledge of demand, supply, and transportation planning
Demonstrated customer-centric focus
Diligent individual with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficient in the use of MS Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, graphs and macros is a plus
Proficient in the use of SAP
CERTIFICATIONS:
- APICS Certification is a plus
