Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our client in the Bowling Green, KY area. Your role will focus on preparing financial statements, processing journal entries, managing fixed assets, and handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). You will also be required to manage tax information and work with SAP software.
Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong experience in the Manufacturing Industry and proficiency in SAP software. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, providing financial analysis, establishing and enforcing accounting procedures, ensuring prompt financial reporting, and ensuring adherence to standard accounting practices across the organization.
Oversee daily accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
Coordinate and execute monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
Reconcile financial discrepancies by employing established systems and recommending corrective actions.
Improve systems and procedures for internal controls by recommending changes in management and accounting systems.
Achieve budget objectives by monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions as required.
Interface with the manufacturing unit to understand cost drivers and suggest cost-efficient solutions.
Provide financial projections by coordinating with budget and forecast information collected from various company divisions.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA, CMA, or other related accounting designation is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of professional accounting experience in the manufacturing sector.
Proven experience managing and utilizing SAP software for accounting functions and financial management.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite with excellent skills in Excel.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and legislation.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
