Location: Bavarian Inn Restaurant's Castle Shops, Frankenmuth, Michigan
Position Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $14-$18 per hour (Additional $1 per hour on weekends and holidays)

About Us: Our Candy and Chocolate Shop is part of the Castle Shops located in the lower level of Bavarian Inn Restaurant. It offers a delectable array of handmade chocolate confections, imported and domestic candy treats, and nostalgic sweets reminiscent of childhood memories. Our shop is a treasure trove for candy enthusiasts, boasting an extensive selection of chocolates, fudges, brittles, gourmet apples, licorice, novelty candies, sugar-free treats, and much more.
Our shop is more than just a store; it's an immersive experience where guests are transported to a Bavarian wonderland, guided by team members dressed in Bavarian-themed attire. We believe in creating enjoyable experiences for our guests, driven by our core values of trust, respect, optimism, and fun.
Job Responsibilities: As a Candy and Chocolate Shop Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the operation of our Candy & Chocolate Shop, ensuring our guests receive outstanding service and leave with unforgettable memories. Your duties include:
- Mentoring and supervising team members to ensure they embody our core values and provide enjoyable and memorable guest interactions.
- Training and developing staff to deliver personalized service and exceptional product knowledge reflective of the warmth and hospitality of Frankenmuth's tourism industry.
- Overseeing shop operations to maintain cleanliness, organization, and merchandise presentation in line with our brand standards.
- Conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to team members.
- Staffing oversight to ensure adequate coverage during all business hours, making labor adjustments as needed.
- Coordinating with buyers in regard to merchandise unpacking, pricing, and stocking to maintain attractive displays and maximize productivity.
- Overseeing homemade candy production to ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work area according to health code regulations, setting the standard for retail salespersons.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- At least two years of retail or guest service experience.
- Six months of experience in a leadership position overseeing 6+ team members
- Flexible availability (Including evenings, weekends, and holidays.)
- Ability to embody our core values of trust, respect, optimism, and fun.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand/walk for durations of shift (8+ hours)
- Ability to lift/push/pull moderate weights up to 50 pounds.
