Robert Half's green energy client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger & Journal Entries: Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Expense Reporting & Analysis: Review and process employee expense reports and assist in budget tracking and cost analysis.
Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Audit & Compliance: Assist with internal audits, prepare necessary schedules, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Process Improvement: Work with the team to optimize financial workflows and implement best practices for accounting processes.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
0–2 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally with experience in accounts payable/receivable or general ledger.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with various departments within the company.
A self-starter with a passion for learning and improving financial processes.
Interest or experience in the renewable energy industry (preferred, but not required).
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
