Robert Half Staff Accountant in Fort Worth, Texas
Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant with a focus on Accounts Payable for our non-profit organization based in Fort Worth, Texas. This position offers a contract employment opportunity, where you will be instrumental in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. You will be part of a dynamic team, taking on interim responsibilities until a permanent CFO is identified.
Responsibilities:
• Handle all aspects of Accounts Payable
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations
• Maintain and update the General Ledger
• Prepare and post Journal Entries
• Assist with the Month End Close process
• Apply Fund Accounting principles in a non-profit setting
• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports
• Collaborate with team members to achieve finance department goals
• Use ANDAR software for financial management and reporting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) process management
• Demonstrated experience in Bank Reconciliations
• Solid understanding of the General Ledger function
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
• Experience in managing Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of Fund Accounting within a Non-Profit context
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
