Lockheed Martin Lead Project Manager in Fort Worth, Texas

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Lead Project Manager (Level 5) in Fort Worth, TX, to drive the development and implementation of new material movement strategies, processes, and systems across multiple sites. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing lean principles, standardization, and enterprise-wide IT integration to enhance production control and material flow operations. This is a unique opportunity to lead strategic initiatives, optimize manufacturing efficiency, and drive cultural transformation within Lockheed Martin’s production environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Enterprise Strategy & Standardization – Develop and deploy material flow strategies, processes, and technologies across multiple Lockheed Martin sites.

Process Improvement & Lean Initiatives – Utilize lean principles, process mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance material movement efficiency.

Technology & IT Integration – Serve as the enterprise lead for production control IT requirements, gathering, prioritizing, and championing system updates and enhancements through the IT council.

Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with IT, production control teams, and leadership to ensure alignment of process improvements with business objectives.

Project Leadership & Change Management – Lead high-visibility projects, drive cultural change, and ensure the successful execution of new system implementations.

Data Analysis & Reporting – Create and present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.

Experienced & Strategic – You bring strong project management expertise, with a proven ability to drive process improvement initiatives.

Lean & Data-Driven – You have experience in lean methodologies, problem-solving, and process mapping to optimize material flow.

IT & Systems-Oriented – You understand material movement, tool management, and IT system integrations, ensuring alignment with production control and enterprise IT strategies.

Leader & Change Agent – You have the ability to influence cross-functional teams, drive cultural transformation, and lead enterprise-wide initiatives.

Effective Communicator – You excel at presenting complex data and strategic insights to senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in Project Management.

• Experience in lean concepts, process mapping, problem solving, &/or leading continuous improvement plans.

• Experience creating and presenting information and data to the senior leadership.

• Proficient in MS Excel, PPT, Project, Word, &/or Visio

Desired Skills:

• Excellent communication and coordination skills with multiple levels of team members and leadership

• Ability to work independently and lead others as a cross-functional facilitator

• Familiarity with material movement and tool management processes and systems; to include SAP and Cribmaster systems, and RFID technologies

• Knowledge of production control processes, material flow improvements and implementations

• Experience in researching, developing, and implementing technology solutions

• Experience identifying and documenting requirements for systems integrations

• Lean manufacturing or supply chain experience

• Green Belt / Black Belt certified

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
