Manager IPT Engineering, Commercial Programs

At Bell, we look for people who have bold new ideas, courage, and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future.We are seeking a talented Integrated Product Team Manager who will be joining and supporting a program management office (PMO) and managing one or more helicopter models under our commercial programs team.

As a business leader, you will support the Lights/Twins Program Manager in developing a vision and roadmap for 505/407/429/412 product line, managing the P&L for that model and in analyzing and deriving business solutions that support Bell’s overall commercial business objectives. You willcollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement strategic initiatives that improve our business from both internal and client facing aspects.

What you’ll be doing as a Manager IPT Engineering:

  • Influence development and maturing of the commercial programs PMO.

  • Responsible for P&L for the 505/407/429/412 productline.

  • Identify and measure both leading and lagging KPIs to track and improve overall product line performance, working with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions, define and manage project priorities and maintain strong communication with multiple teams.

  • Accountable for developing and executing an overall strategy to meet business objectives forthe 505/407/429/412product line.

  • Accountable for ensuring production efficiency and profitability through alignment of labor, equipment, processes, materials, and budget.

  • Perform business case analyses to support any emerging or confirmed performance gaps which have cost and/or schedule impact.

  • Track Risks, Issues and Opportunities, develop mitigation plans, and assist with removing blockers and escalating issues.

  • Work closely with the integrated business planning (IBP) team to develop an Integrated Master Production Schedule (MPS), aligning with market forecasts and company objectives.

  • Establish and maintain effective communications with internal & external customers, senior and executive management.

  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement data-driven processes and monitor outcomes.

  • Create information-rich data visualizations and reports from complex data.

  • Uphold company vision and values.

  • Lead in the design and development of reports and dashboards that communicate insights in an efficient way at Program Management Reviews.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, executives, department heads, and product leadership to understand their needs, translate them into requirements, and take action on execution, delivery, and communication of the development efforts.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role:

  • Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills and ability to effectively manage conflicting tasks and priorities.

  • Well-rounded program management skills (cost and schedule management, EVM, risk and issue management, program performance metrics and reporting, etc.)

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present data and recommendations to executives, peers, and team members

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective communications with internal & external customers, and senior and executive management.

  • Ability to work cross‐functionally and influence key stakeholders to drive alignment.

  • Exposure to aircraft type certification.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required. MBA is preferred.

  • At least 8 years of professional experience in aerospace or related industry experience that includes experience in aerospace product development & qualification.

  • Experience with multiple phases of the development life cycle including planning, conceptual design, requirements definition, preliminary design, prototyping, test and evaluation, detailed design, integration, formal verification, entry into service, etc.

  • Previous leadership experience is required.

  • Experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Global Supply Chain, or Project Management is preferred.

  • Background in finances is preferred.
