Lockheed Martin Aircraft Delivery Technician in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: Accomplishes all Electrical, Avionics, hydraulic, propulsion and pneumatic preflight preparation, preflight and postflight, operational checks. Diagnoses all malfunctions occurring during these checks and/or actual flight and/or flight test; determines the cause for and selects the most expedient corrective actions; and accomplishes all necessary repair, rework, and replacement of components to bring operations within production requirements.

This occupation requires the final preparation of aircraft to include electronic systems and components for Company and/or customer flight, and the diagnosis, repair and rework of operational malfunctions or failure disclosed during preflight preparation, preflight, postflight and/or actual flight and flight test operations.

Works from blueprints, flight discrepancies, engineering changes, technical orders, inspection sheets, other specifications, and written or verbal instructions, to perform the work described herein.

May be required to perform all necessary rework, repair, and replacement of avionics assemblies to bring operations of systems within specification. May re-terminate or repair wiring harness connector pins, sockets, coaxial. Fiber connectors and other wire terminations connected to avionics components in support of flight line operations.

Will be required to remove panels and associated hardware to obtain access equipment requiring repair.

Vehicles/Power moving equipment: Able to operate equipment or machinery as required. Able to work around heavy equipment and machinery. Able to use Aerospace Ground Equipment (power moving equipment and power moving equipment).

May perform any and all standard work associated with Aircraft Assembler Structures (RF3063), Aircraft Assembler Electrical (RF3062) or (RF3023 Aircraft Mechanic).

Standing/Sitting: Requires full time standing with limited resting periods and to walk distances. Sit for extended periods if required. Heights: Able to work at heights. Able to climb stairs or ladders as required. Able to work off of step stools, scissor lifts, lift platforms and aircraft structure without handrails. Overhead work: Able to work overhead as required. Weight restriction: Able to Lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 40lbs. Body positioning: Able to twist/bend (neck or waist) and stoop. Able to work in awkward positions as required. Able to squat/kneel/crawl/reach as required.

Work content: Able to use/hold/manipulate small tools and parts with hands. Simple grasping, power grasping and fine manipulation is required. Able to use vibrating tools and perform torquing operations.

Vision/Hearing: High level Hand/Eye coordination required. Corrective lenses may be used. Eye protection required in many instances. Color differentiation may be required. Must be able to hear at level required for positions.

Environmental: Able to work around noise, chemicals, fumes and dust. Capable of using respirators and other personal protective equipment including hearing protection if required. Able to work outside if needed.

Attendance: Regular attendance required based on set work schedule.

Must be willing and able to work any shift.

Basic Qualifications:

Four (4) years verifiable active flight line experience is required or applicable F35 Systems Integrations experience.

Experience in the operational checkout of systems of an aircraft in one or more fields of specialization in structural, electrical, hydraulics, Avionics, Fuel Systems, and propulsion.

Experience with ground handling, using testing equipment and tools.

Experience in structural rework, repair, and modification.

Experience with assembly theory, practice, and procedure and removal and repair techniques.

Desired Skills:

Military tactical aircraft experience preferred.

5th Generation Fighter Experience Preferred.

Experience with the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) and Joint Service Technical Data (JTD)

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
