Actalent Product Test Engineer in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Actalent is hiring a Product Test Engineer for a large Aerospace/DoD company located in Fort Wayne, IN. Position offers full time benefits, paid vacation, paid holidays, and OT pay. Work schedule offers flexibility (company works 9/80s, every Friday other off). Please apply with an updated resume.

Responsibilities:

  • In this Test Equipment Engineer role, the qualified candidate will support electronic controls test equipment. You will make impacts in the following ways:

  • Hands-on implementation of hardware test requirements with in-house and/or third part automated test solutions.

  • Initiating continuous improvement of our electronic controls in response to test performance and yields.

  • Design, integration, maintenance, and configuration management of automated test hardware and software.

  • Supporting repair and maintenance for equipment installed at BAE Systems locations around the world.

  • Liaising with Design Engineering in Endicott, New York to execute test solutions for new products

Qualifictions:

  • AA Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), prefer - BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering

  • Electronics troubleshooting and instrument familiarity (analog, digital, power, communications).

  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving and critical thinking.

  • Experience with electronics test equipment design and integration.

  • Ability to interpret and implement electronic hardware test requirements.

  • Ability to read, edit, and integrate software.

Preferred Experience, & Skills:

  • Experience automating test instrumentation for both test and fault diagnosis.

  • Ability to program in various software environments (ex. Basic, UNIX, C++, NI LabVIEW, NI Test Stand, Visual Studio, Python, etc.)

  • Familiarity with hardware design certification standards and testing requirements.

  • Experience working in a high-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with statistical process control techniques and analytical tools (ex. 6 Sigma).

  • Ability to propose, quote, and execute test equipment project plans, schedules, and budgets.
