THE BOARD CHEF, LLC Special Event Delivery Driver (1099 Contractor) in Fort Walton Beach, Florida
*This is an independent contractor position - 1099 required*
The Board Chef is looking for a part-time, year-round delivery driver.
We specialize in Artisan Cheese and Charcuterie Boards, Private Chef work and Catering. Our drivers will deliver Boards' from Fort Walton as far east as Miramar and as far west as Navarre. Orders can range from one small item to orders containing multiple items.
Drivers use their own vehicles, so a clean vehicle is important.
Our drivers are very customer-facing. Clean, happy and kind are priorities. Orders can go to homes, condos, rental properties and boats, so being able to understand and follow directions is important. Communicate clearly with customers during delivery, if necessary, is a priority. Some deliveries require entering properties with door codes and placing products in refrigerators or going through neighborhood gates.
Business is different every week and sometimes at the last minute. Schedules are flexible. Special events can be scheduled weeks ahead. Regular deliveries are usually scheduled each weekend for the following week. Work is put into scheduling deliveries to specific areas around the same time as possible.
Pick up orders in Fort Walton Beach. There is seldom a need to return after delivering.
No uniform required.
Drivers are independent contractors and will receive a 1099 at the end of the year. Paychecks are posted each week on Monday. There is a delivery fee paid for each order ranging from $10-$25, more for a special event or larger order. Pay then also includes a portion of any tip amount. No reporting of any cash tip received directly from a customer.
