Aerotek Assembler in Fort Walton Beach, Florida

SEEKING ASSEMBLER IN THE FORT WALTON BEACH AREA! $17-23 AN HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE!

Job Duties:

  • Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other and uses hand or power tools to secure parts

  • Mount assembled components on chassis, panels, or circuit boards

  • Route wiring and cabling through assembly to terminals according to color codes and solders or wraps wire around terminals to provide electrical connection

  • Perform intermediate to complex assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, cleaning, coating, epoxy bonding, wiring, stamping, and color-coding parts and assemblies

  • Adjust, repair, or replace electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications

  • Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to provide openings for elements or wiring in accordance with hardware specifications

  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions

  • Develop accurate and intelligible work instructions

Description:

With moderate supervision, performs basic and routine electronic and mechanical assembly operations on components, printed circuit boards, and subassemblies in accordance with established standards using visual aids and verbal and/or written instructions. Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other and uses hand or power tools to secure parts. Mount assembled components on chassis, panels or circuit boards. Route wiring and cabling through assembly to terminals according to color codes and solders or wraps wire around terminals to provide electrical connection.

soldering, cable assembly, PCB, electronics assembly, circuit card, CCA, though hole, thru hole, surface mount, IPC, J-STD, wire harness, avionics, crimper, stripper, work instruction, schematic, wire diagram, hand tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

For advanced assemblers: 5+ years of recent electronics assembly experience - assembling PCB/circuit cards, wire assembly / wire harnesses

ability to use hand tools - strippers, crimpers, wire cutters, screw drivers, torque tools and basic hand tools and assemble small components

ability solder - though hole and surface mount

ability to follow work instructions and schematics

manufacturing experience preferred

1-3 years of assembly experience

Experience building computer- could be as a hobby!

Interest in electronics

prior or current IPC certification experience.

board coating experience

Work Environment:

You will be situated in a climate-controlled environment, seated at a workbench alongside other assemblers. Our department consists of 50 professionals specializing in both mechanical and electrical disciplines. The position operates on a Monday-Friday schedule from 6am-3:30pm, following a 9/80 work schedule.
