Army Installation Management Command Library Technician NF-03 in Fort Wainwright, Alaska

Summary This position is located at the Fort Wainwright Library. Up to 25% recruitment, relocation and/or retention incentive may be authorized. Eligible to 1.69% COLA. Responsibilities Responsible for a wide variety of public service duties such as circulation, reference/reader's advisory, database searching, collection maintenance, programming, marketing, displays/publicity, interlibrary loans, and reserves. Performs selected administrative management duties to include ensuring internal controls are in place in public services and/or technical services. Trains others in the performance of library technician duties. Incumbent may perform physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, pushing of loaded trucks; and recurring lifting of heavy items such as boxes of books or journals. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications One year of work experience that equipped the applicant with practical knowledge of library or related information services, tools, and methods and procedures. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives may be paid.
