What you’ll do

We’re looking for a CNC Programmer/Machinist to join the ArcBest Technologies teamThe CNC Programmer/Machinist will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment. The CNC Programmer/Machinist will read technical blueprints, adjust machine cutting paths, and ensure the precision of the CNC machines. This position will collaborate with our research and development teams to create high-quality parts for our Vaux equipment.

Your contribution may include:

  • Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.

  • Input product designs into computer modeling software.

  • Choose and load the correct cutting tools for the job.

  • Adjust machine settings to meet desired product specifications.

  • Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.

  • Conduct quality control tests during production.

  • Collaborate with R&D teams to develop new products.

  • Create test stands for evaluating product performance.

  • Contribute to product hardening efforts.

  • Perform routine machine maintenance.

  • Train new staff on machine operation procedures.

  • Other projects and duties, as assigned.

As a CNC Programmer/Machinist, you will be a member of the ArcBest Technologies Intralogistics team in Fort Smith, AR. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Education: Associate's Degree in Computer Integrated Machining, AAS or equivalent, preferred.

Experience: One year of CNC Programming; Fusion 360, Solidworks CAM, preferred.

Computer Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, required.

Extensive experience with computer modeling software, preferred.

Certifications: CNC Programming Certification, preferred.
