This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the Army Material Management System Technician for AMCOM Fleet Management Expansion (FMX) Fort Sill, OK. Responsibilities Prepare, submit and track Product Quality Deficiency Reports. Review Battalion repair parts status and provide recommendations and/or initiate solutions for repair part requests. Manage various reports and files in accordance with systems such as Army Records Information Management System. Drive a motor vehicle to pick up, transport and deliver repair parts and supply items to supported activities. Perform manual or automated walk-up requests and follows up with installation supply support activity/Logistic Readiness Centers. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience, which includes Utilizing web-based automated logistics supply system's procedures and regulations to maintain the information within the Global Combat Support System (GCSS), an automated maintenance management system for supply actions, accountability and resources to provide for, the materiel requirements for combat support; Preparing various reports for items, such as, lost, damaged, or destroyed property; Answering inquiries from customers regarding the status of supply items, such as, supply requisitions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
