Continental Market Demand Planner Analyst - Truck Tire in Fort Mill, South Carolina

The market demand planner’s primary responsibility will be to forecast, with maximum detail and accuracy, the needs of the market. They will work with sales management, product management, and marketing to analyze trends, consider opportunities and threats, and develop short and medium term product level forecasts for their business segment. These forecasts will provide the backbone for production planning and distribution planning within the organization. The demand planner will also assist in operational duties such as product phase in/phase out management, backorder/substitution management, customer prioritization, etc.

  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers, Regional Managers and other team members to analyze demand.

  • Create demand Forecast (FC) by product/location for the US and Canadian markets.

  • Ensure accurate demand FC is maintained in all relevant systems.

  • Work with key Sales Management team members to establish and agree on priorities, and make customer level allocation proposals based on forecast, tactical objectives and strategic objectives.

  • Work with Supply Chain team to establish priorities and manage short term FC changes/production changes

  • Communicate FC confirmation/un confirmation

  • Track and analyze shipments vs FC, order development, confirmation vs. orders & shipments

  • Give sales organization substitutions or options in case of shortage

  • Special projects and/or reports as required by the Central Demand Manager

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field.

  • 2 years of Supply Chain, Demand Planning, or Business Operations experience

  • Basic-Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong communication/presentation skills
