U.S. Special Operations Command (Army) Training Specialist (Special Forces) in Fort Liberty, North Carolina

Summary About the Position: This position is located in USAJFK SPECIAL WARFARE CENTER & SCHOOL SF PROPONENT FORT LIBERTY, NC Responsibilities Conduct detail reviews, analysis, and evaluation of Special Forces training, education, and operational requirements to determine the short- and long-range impact on SF training requirements. Develop Course Administrative Data (CAD), Programs of Instruction (POI), Individual Training Plan (ITP), Course Management Plan, and Individual Student Assessment Plan (ISAP) for assigned programs. Design and develop training courses requiring the establishment of instructional design and development criteria through the analysis of educational or instructional problems or questions. Develop special projects designed to improve procedures, respond to a general tasking, answer internal, external, and higher headquarters inquiries, or correct a deficiency affecting several organizational units. Negotiate with other staffs, directorates, and departments to accept and implement recommendations that have a substantial effect on the long training range and resources requirements. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes experience in applying and developing special forces training utilizing the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) or equivalent in the operational planning and execution of special forces operations in an operational and/or training environment; experience with special forces tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) development; experience instructing a Special Forces qualification course (SFQC), operational preparation of the environment (OPE), and/or preparation of the environment (PE) for potential special operations and/or unconventional warfare. The OPM Qualification Standard provides the following examples: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Curriculum Development Database Administration Education / Training Program Administration Instructional Delivery and Learner Development Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
